HUMANS IN THE LOOP

Where the Catalog says human, a Gig is posted.

The Reserved-Act Catalog is platform-counsel-owned and versioned: sign, file, and advice-class utterances are reserved per jurisdiction, and no Tenant can author or edit a reservation. When a Matter’s next act is reserved, this service escalates to gigs.lawyer — the supply-side front door where Signers claim Gigs under their own license.

The Gig seam, end to end

  1. 01The Gig posts with a split disclosure. The pre-claim Conflicts Sheet carries only what a conflicts check needs — parties, adverse parties, matter type, jurisdiction, exposure band — disclosed serially with view logging. The Packet, the full matter snapshot, stays sealed.
  2. 02A Signer reads the Conflicts Sheet — and may Pass.A Pass is pre-claim, costless, and invisible to the Register. Declining to look costs nothing, by design.
  3. 03Claiming runs the eligibility lattice.Credential × jurisdiction × standing × coverage, evaluated per Gig. No Register score ever crosses the lattice — a license is a gate, not a rank.
  4. 04Clearance unlocks the Packet. The Signer attests the conflicts check covered their full book, imputed firm conflicts included. A conflict hit reopens the Gig; a clear claim unlocks the Packet — a Signer never picks up a cold matter.
  5. 05The Signer attests, sends back, or declines. An Attestation commits the reserved act under the Signer’s own credential. A Send-back is completed, paid review returning defects to the drafting loop. A Declination — the post-Packet refusal, carried by a reasoned memo — is paid, Register-neutral, and final.
  6. 06The outcome calls back; the Gate takes it from there.gigs.lawyer POSTs the outcome to this service. Attested acts commit to the journal with the Attestation; a Send-back re-stages prepare; a Declination stops the Matter until the Client’s own direction — journaled as Consent from the actual Client — reopens it.

The Signer’s no and the Client’s yes are both sovereign: the Gate may refuse a signed Proposal, but it may never commit past a Declination, and it may never block a Client-directed choice on Tenant-sourced grounds.

And the clock has an owner

Every Asset carries a Deadline Ladder: notice at t-30, escalation at t-14, daily human acknowledgment through the final week, and an enumerated terminal rung at t-0 — client notice, extension purchase, pro se instructions, or outside-counsel handoff. The ladder is closed only by evidence (the receipt), and a ladder with no Monitoring Engagement and no journaled Client acknowledgment is a vacancy alarm, never a silent default.

Supply-side accounting lives on the Register at gigs.lawyer — outcome metering only, never matter content. A paid Declination is Register-neutral: saying no is never a demerit.
